Philip Pritchard
Philip brings over 20 years' experience operating in global emerging markets. Having started his career in asset management with Charterhouse Investment Management in London in 1987, he moved into broking and spent most of the 1990s in Hong Kong before returning to London in 1998.
In 2003 Philip joined CLSA as Managing Director (Europe) from J.P. Morgan in London where he was Managing Director with responsibility for equity distribution to the UK and Europe. He became CEO of CLSA (UK) in 2005, a position he held until 2008 before leaving to co-found 8 Miles in 2009. He is currently working on a new social media venture.
Whilst in Hong Kong, Philip worked in Asian equity sales with BZW Securities and Swiss Bank Corporation before joining Jardine Fleming in 1994 as Director with responsibility for Asian equity distribution. He was appointed to the main JF Holdings board two years later before returning to London to take up a position as Director with Robert Fleming Securities. Robert Fleming were subsequently bought by Chase and merged with JP Morgan. Since 1994, the majority of the teams that he managed both in Hong Kong and London were top ranked in major industry surveys.
