Nathan Mintah Partner
Nathan has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A and private equity. Prior to co-founding 8
Miles, he was a Partner with Kingdom Zephyr, based in Johannesburg where he led the firm's investments in a
number of transactions. Before that, he was a Director in Global Investment Banking with HSBC Bank plc in
Johannesburg. At HSBC he advised on and arranged financing for high-profile transactions and clients in Nigeria
and South Africa, including Pechiney's US$ 2 billion aluminium smelter project in South Africa, MTN Nigeria and
Econet Wireless (Nigeria), AES Corporation (UK), as well as Access Bank's three-way merger in Nigeria. Nathan
joined HSBC from Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) where was head of project and trade finance for sub-Saharan Africa.
He started his investment banking career with Lehman Brothers (New York) and Morgan Stanley & Company (New
Nathan holds a BSc degree in mathematics from Eckerd College, USA, and an MBA from Yale University, School of Management. He is currently the Chairman of the Africa Advisory Committee of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
